Job Summary
A vital member of the IT department, this leadership position is responsible for contributing to the strategy and driving the execution of all analysis and data management activities within IT, including management oversight of the Analytics and Data Management team. This role will be tasked with growing the data and analytics capabilities and developing them into a mature service offering, working with internal stakeholders to provide the information and insights necessary to make data-driven decisions, and supporting related high priority objectives. To do this, we're looking for an outstanding manager with a can-do attitude- someone who brings thought leadership, is excited by a challenge, and who can lead and develop a growing team, while simultaneously building the strong partnerships with both the members of the technology and operations division and business area management necessary to identify data sources, interpret data, and build the appropriate solutions.

Principal Accountabilities
Management of the day-to-day operations of the Analytics and Data Management team, including staff development and performance management
Development and execution of the policies, practices and procedures in order to manage the information lifecycle needs of the organization effectively
Activities include capturing data sources (from requirements), secure data transmission methods, and moving data into data repositories
Examines the organization's data reporting needs and can translate key business drivers into data requirements to generate insight and solutions
Works with stakeholders - both business and IT partners - to analyze business requirements, including design and development of basic reports, dashboards, and other data visualization solutions
Represent the department on Bank and System committees and workgroups. Ensure department interests are appropriately addressed.

This position is required to directly supervise 2-10 employees

Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience normally gained through, or the equivalent of, the completion of a Bachelor’s degrees in any of these fields: mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science/analytics or similar quantitative or other business-related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and 5+ years of experience at the senior staff or management level and proven leadership experience.

Experience with data modeling, knowledge and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations, data transfers, ETL development and data warehousing

Experience with tools/techniques – Python, R, Hadoop, clustering, Cloudera, high availability environments, visualization techniques, and Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages.

AWS/Azure cloud certified preferred

Knowledge and experience with process improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma), and/or Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) is preferred, but not required
