Perficient has a career opportunity for a Healthcare Analytics Solution Leader and Architect within its national healthcare practice. The consultant filling this role can be based anywhere within the continental US, and will require frequent travel to client sites.

 

This is a senior consulting and leadership role that holds overall responsibility for defining, selling and implementing healthcare focused analytics solutions, products, and architectural vision to customers in the healthcare payer and provider space. It requires a leader that has direct experience defining and implementing advanced healthcare analytics solutions and programs for clients, including hands-on implementation of POCs and MVPs. This consultant must possess a deep understanding how advanced data analytics solutions can provide insight and value to healthcare payers and providers as they seek to optimize care delivery and payment/plan management in a rapidly evolving environment.

 

Job Overview

The solutions architect and leader will help lead and drive our healthcare analytics efforts, developing advanced analytics and data science capabilities within the HC Payer and Provider domain. It requires experience working with tools like Python, R, SPSS or SAS, and Tableau, experience working with Big Data technologies and patterns, as well as experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. This role requires very strong communication skills and executive presence, and requires hands on involvement in creating advanced analytics demos and MVPs. It is not a developer role but requires someone with the skill, experience and desire to do some hands-on work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the data analytics strategy and roadmap for enterprise clients, considering the people, process, and technology based capabilities needed to deliver specific and measurable business and clinical value.
  • Define, present and elaborate data analytics solutions and architectures which meet specific needs and use cases aligned with our customer’s vision and growth in leveraging analytics to meet their highest priority (value) business and clinical needs.
  • Lead a small team to develop PoCs and MVPs which demonstrate (prove) the value and functional solutions envisioned and desired; act as a player coach with hands on involvement and visibility in MVP/PoC creation.  
  • Lead and partner with client and Perficient delivery teams to define, implement, and scale the analytics capabilities and architecture from a MVP application to a sustainable enterprise solution and program.  
  • Play a significant role in the sales process to gain customer trust and confidence in the understanding, expertise, and value you provide to the customer based on your deep healthcare and analytics knowledge and experience.
  • Coach team members to enable identification of meaningful data trends, relationships between variables and formulate predictive insights, as well as metric/measure/KPI definition.
  • Demonstrate expertise and first-hand knowledge implementing advanced analytics solutions leveraging structured and unstructured data sets, including: extracting, cleansing, and integrating custom data sets, developing and tuning predictive models, creating compelling analytics visualizations, applying machine learning and AI techniques, and implementing frameworks to manage analytics models and assets.  
  • Provides tool recommendations to enable analytics capabilities for data scientists and analytics users

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and executive interaction skills are a must.
  • 5+ years  of hands-on experience working with analytics and visualization technologies and solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience using data mining methods, such as clustering and anomaly detection, to understand data patterns and select appropriate predictive techniques, with at least 2 years working with SPSS or SAS.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in applied machine learning using Python and/or R.
  • 2+ years  of experience with BI tools and data visualization, including best practices implementing Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • 2+ years of experience defining and implementing analytic use cases to serve the healthcare payer and provider markets/needs, with strong ability to describe the relevant business/clinical need and value provided by the solution.
  • Ability to articulate enterprise-wide data and analytics transformations with varying c-suite executives.
  • 2+ years of advanced experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 4+ years of experience working with big data architectures and related tools (Hadoop, Python, Spark, Databricks, etc.).
  • Experience using Jupyter notebook or equivalent tools, as well as familiarity with data science libraries, SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles and experience in solving data quality issues at scale.
  • Background in working with structured and unstructured data sets
  • Experience working within a mid or large tier consulting organization a plus.
