The Financial Support Office (FSO) provides financial management leadership for the Federal Reserve System (System), reporting to the Conference of First Vice Presidents. The FSO is responsible for leading multi-year strategic spending alignment and stewardship, introducing and reinforcing financial and technology disciplines and frameworks, and maintaining the multi-year technology roadmap for the System's portfolio of financial applications and centralized operations.
The FSO Director of Data and Analytics will play a key role in:
- Developing and executing a data strategy,
- Establishing a data management and governance framework, and
- Increasing data literacy.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and execute data strategy and data management/governance frameworks
- Develop data literacy program working with key stakeholders across the FSO and the System
- Ensure the FSO Data Office activities are aligned with similar data initiatives across the System
- Align with ERP initiative on Data Governance and Management, ensuring roles and responsibilities are well defined and adhered to
- Stakeholder Management - there are stakeholders from 12 Reserve Banks and multiple business lines across the System with a wide-range of knowledge in the data and analytics space.
- Provide consulting services for analytics while maintaining the balance between consulting/advising and providing operational support
- Champion the importance of strong data management principles to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform personnel management functions as needed, such as hiring, staff development counseling, employee performance management, compensation decisions, and other personnel actions for on-site and/or remote management and staff.
Supervision:
You may be required to supervise 2-5 employees.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years experience in data and analytics roles with increasing responsibilities, and 10+ years of overall experience
- Experience establishing Data Governance and Management frameworks
- Can explain data and technology concepts to business leaders
- Provide communications that convey technical topics in simple, concise terms, with all levels of bank management and staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, advanced degree preferred
