Our ideal enterprise data privacy consultant - policy, is an operational champion who can build key operational components within the organization, including execution of assessments relative to policies, standards and controls; implementation of necessary training and organizational communications around privacy; and partner to create a best-in-class customer experience. As the enterprise data privacy consultant - policy, you will partner with many other teams across the business to build sustainable and scalable privacy operations that result in continued compliance and reduced risk. Description
MassMutual has recognized the importance of an Enterprise Privacy, Data and AI Governance program and we are looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual with strong business acumen to join this Enterprise Privacy, Data and AI Governance team within the Enterprise Technology Experience organization. The team embodies a culture of working collaboratively, cross-functionally, and using new technologies all in support of a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Objectives of the role
Influence and create an even stronger privacy-centric culture that foundationally supports consumer privacy rights, across the enterprise
Partner with other privacy functional leads to increase the value of deliverables within each lead's owned workstreams, including handing off “built capabilities” to the operations team for execution
Lead the implementation of policies, standards, and controls within the enterprise
Lead the implementation of the consumer DSAR fulfillment processes, from intake to the provision of the request responses
Guide the business to build its policy, standards, and controls to effectively demonstrate compliance with sufficient evidence that the standards and controls are met
Ensure that assessment practices are conducted appropriately and consistently to mitigate risk
Engage with business and technical leads to ensure that privacy by design strategies are regularly and continuously part of the way we develop applications and processes
Enable education and training for the enterprise and partners in specific roles on data privacy and regularly report on key training metrics, and create privacy communications to increase overall privacy awareness
Develop a privacy center of excellence (COE) to drive innovation and continuous improvement in organizational privacy practices while maintaining ongoing compliance with applicable regulations
Define and lead the development of the privacy stewards embedded within business units, who will internally champion our policies, standards, and controls to increase compliance and reduce risk
Manage privacy program risks appropriately to improve privacy program outcomes
Create accountability within the privacy program to meet/exceed program program KPIs
Represent the customer and articulate requirements, as the voice of the customer SME to enable the organization to create a best-in-class customer experience
Partner with entities and subsidiaries at MassMutual to ensure alignment to the enterprise privacy program and strategy, and compliance with the enterprise-wide policies, standards, and controls
Participate in internal and external privacy program audits
Manage delivery of the program with project leadership to enable achievement of objectives on-time, with quality and within scope
Develop the program roadmap plans and supporting artifacts to drive direction of a timely delivery of the program
Skills
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of experience in product / program management and/or project management
Knowledge of key privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, CDPA, and interest to stay up-to-date on privacy regulation developments
Strong collaboration and partnering skills with to influence and build working relationships that enable business results
Strong analytical skills to weigh the costs and benefits of possible actions, examine risks, and identify the best course of actions for the business
Strong communication skills to engage with partners across all levels in the business
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in financial services or a highly-regulated industry preferred
Experience in data management, data governance, or other data-intensive roles preferred
Experience in risk management, change management, and/or strategy and planning
Knowledge and use of a GRC system, such as Archer
Team leadership experience a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Certifications & Licenses
IAPP certifications a plus
