The Director of Strategy & Analytics will lead a team of analysts to extract and apply insights from data that dramatically improves the consumer and insurance agent experience and accelerate the growth of the Agency business!

This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across our Agency team including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering and Marketing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a bias for action, is organized, hard working and analytical and has strong project management skills.

In this role you will:

  • Manage high priority strategic initiatives across the Agency business
  • Lead the quarterly Agency business planning process to set the team strategic roadmap and project plans.
  • Coach and mentor team members to complete analysis and project manage work streams that contribute to strategic initiatives
  • Prepare and present business updates to sales organization and C-suite team
  • Help stand-up an effective strategic initiative management function within the Strategy & Analytics team
  • Work closely with product, consumer acquisition, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on cross-functional initiatives (e.g., new product launches)
  • Lead, develop and grow a team of Analysts.
  • Report directly to the GM of Agency 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience working at a fast growing  tech company
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Masters in Math, Statistics, Economics or MBA preferred
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing teams of analysts 
  • Experience manipulating large data sets with SQL, analyzing data in Excel, and presenting data in dashboards.
  • Ability to set, scrutinize, and hit aggressive, yet realistic deadlines within constraints of available resources
  • Ability to define and measure clear metrics which simplify and capture core project goals
  • Hungry to work hard, learn fast, and develop as a business leader
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and possess a ‘figure it out’ mentality
