Responsibilities

About the role

In this role, you will support the development and execution of GM Financial’s global privacy program by helping ensure compliance with privacy requirements, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and protecting personal and company data. You will collaborate with business partners across the organization to manage privacy assessments, support privacy processes, and drive continuous improvement of privacy governance practices. 

 

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the continued organization and coordination of organizational privacy processes and efforts (Global)
  • Assist in the continued development and maintenance of a comprehensive privacy program which minimizes risk and maintains the confidentiality of personal information of consumers and employees and other applicable company data
  • Coordinate with GMF business groups and internal shared services (e.g., Cybersecurity, Compliance, IT, Purchasing Data Governance, Legal, Digital) to embed privacy related requirements within new and existing processes, projects, and teams
  • Support the intake, review, and completion of Privacy Impact Assessments submitted through OneTrust, with a focus on advertising technology and tracking technologies including cookies, pixels, and tags

  • Assist in the review and coordination regarding internal processes (e.g., reporting, business-to-business requests, data subject rights requests, cookie, tag, and SDK scans)
  • Assist in managing customer privacy notice revisions, cookie banners, and processes
  • Provide ad hoc support to Data Privacy Managers and other stakeholders as necessary
Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Familiarity with U.S. and global privacy laws and regulations
  • Experience with digital marketing, advertising technology, tracking technologies, customer data platforms, and consent management platforms
  • Experience with Syrenis, Adobe, and/or Google products (e.g., Syrenis Consent and Preference Management Platform, Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Marketing Platform)
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to express facts and ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Maintain high level of attention to detail and organization
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of the company
  • Ability to use Microsoft office applications software
  • Working effectively within an AI enabled environment.

 

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1-2 years privacy related or digital marketing compliance preferred
