We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, update, maintain, and verify information in company databases, spreadsheets, records, and computer systems. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information while handling confidential documents and completing administrative tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent typing and computer skills, good organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, computer systems, and company records.
  • Review information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before entering or updating records.
  • Update existing records and correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Verify data by comparing information against source documents.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files and records.
  • Process invoices, forms, reports, applications, orders, receipts, and other documents.
  • Input customer, employee, product, financial, inventory, or other business information as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure information is properly categorized and organized.
  • Scan, upload, rename, and electronically file documents.
  • Perform routine data verification and quality-control checks.
  • Identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent information and report discrepancies to the appropriate department.
  • Retrieve information from databases and files when requested.
  • Prepare basic reports, spreadsheets, summaries, and data lists.
  • Assist with document preparation, filing, copying, printing, and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, employee, and business information.
  • Follow company procedures for data entry, document handling, record retention, and information security.
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and completion deadlines.
  • Communicate with other departments to obtain missing or corrected information.
  • Assist with audits, record reviews, and data-cleanup projects.
  • Perform other administrative and data-related duties as assigned.

Data Management Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and current electronic databases.
  • Check records for duplicate entries and inconsistencies.
  • Standardize information according to company guidelines.
  • Perform regular data-cleaning and updating activities.
  • Maintain organized naming and filing conventions.
  • Ensure documents are attached to the correct records.

Administrative Responsibilities
