We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Data Entry Clerk to accurately enter, update, maintain, and verify information in company databases and computer systems. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for processing documents, maintaining accurate records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring information is entered efficiently and securely.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, accurate typing and data-entry abilities, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain information in databases, spreadsheets, and company systems.
- Accurately process data from paper documents, electronic files, forms, emails, and other sources.
- Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and correct data-entry errors and discrepancies.
- Verify information against source documents before entering or updating records.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files.
- Process invoices, orders, applications, customer records, employee records, or other documents as assigned.
- Update existing records with new or corrected information.
- Perform regular data audits and quality-control checks.
- Research missing or incorrect information and obtain clarification when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and outstanding items.
- Scan, upload, rename, and organize electronic documents.
- Convert information between spreadsheets, databases, and other systems as required.
- Generate basic reports and spreadsheets.
- Assist other departments with administrative and data-related tasks.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with company policies.
- Follow established data-entry procedures, security requirements, and quality standards.
- Meet assigned productivity and accuracy goals.
- Communicate issues, system problems, or recurring data discrepancies to supervisors.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Data Accuracy & Quality Control
- Double-check entered information for spelling, numbers, dates, addresses, and other details.
- Compare records against original documentation.
- Identify duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records.
- Correct errors promptly and document changes when required.
- Maintain high standards for data accuracy and completeness.
- Follow established naming conventions and filing procedures.
- Protect data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Administrative Support
The Data Entry Clerk may also assist with:

Qualifications
