We are seeking several Data Integration Engineers at varying levels to support the design, development, and sustainment of enterprise data solutions within a secure healthcare data environment. In this role, you’ll help modernize and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, database components, and integration services that deliver governed data products to mission stakeholders. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams to improve data quality, automation, and performance across legacy and cloud-based systems operating within a Scaled Agile and DevSecOps delivery model.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines supporting clinical and operational datasets.
  • Develop and optimize SQL-based database solutions, including stored procedures, transformations, and schema changes.
  • Support data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows using tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, or similar integration platforms.
  • Implement automated data quality validation, schema enforcement, and governance-as-code practices.
  • Develop reusable pipeline components and automation scripts to improve scalability and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot data processing issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration defects across environments.
  • Collaborate with platform and DevSecOps teams to integrate pipelines into CI/CD workflows and automated testing frameworks.
  • Support data virtualization, API integrations, and interoperability with enterprise healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, or OMOP/CDM.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery planning aligned with SAFe practices.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in data engineering or data platform development within enterprise environments
  • Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines or database-driven integrations in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Glue, Airflow, or comparable technologies).
  • Experience developing automated data transformations using Python, scripting, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of data modeling, schema management, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or regulated data environments and associated compliance considerations.
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams within Agile delivery environments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $100,000 – $145,000
