Energy Solutions is hiring for a Data Associate that will be responsible for supporting many revenue and resource planning processes, including 5-year forecasts, revenue/consultant, G&A/consultant ratio, and utilization. This position will support data analysis initiatives with moderate supervision, executing tasks from initial data requests through presenting findings and insights. 

In this role, the Data Associate works closely with other analysts and cross-functional teams to gather, clean, and process data from various sources, improving established procedures for analysis and insights, supporting business decisions, and optimizing reporting processes. 

This opportunity is great for someone with strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, the ability to learn complicated operational processes, and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Gather data from various sources (e.g., enterprise resource planning system, human resource information system, project management systems) and integrate this data to create comprehensive datasets for analysis
  • Clean, validate, and prepare datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Maintain organized datasets and supporting documentation while identifying and escalating data quality issues.
  • Analyze data using established analytical methods to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights
  • Support forecasting, resource planning, utilization reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis activities
  • Prepare summaries, recommendations, and supporting materials that communicate analytical findings for stakeholders
  • Develop, update, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support business decision-making
  • Prepare presentation materials, reporting packages, and data outputs for leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Support planning and forecasting processes by reviewing data, assumptions, and reporting deliverables
  • Conduct and support QA/QC activities to ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and analytical integrity
  • Apply established data governance standards, security requirements, and documentation practices
  • Document and maintain data sources, methodologies, assumptions, and processes to support consistency and repeatability
  • Collaborate with analysts and business partners to gather requirements and support data-driven initiatives
  • Own assigned analytics project deliverables by documenting requirements, tracking action items, and completing assignments
  • Communicate project progress, analytical findings, and data-related issues to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Identify and support reporting, data management, and analytical workflows
  • Contribute to and support process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting efficiency and data quality
  • Review and maintain operational policies, procedures, and data-related documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience 
  • Foundational knowledge of data analytics principles, statistical methods, and analytical problem-solving techniques 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
  • Basic knowledge or familiarity of SQL, Python or other database querying languages   
  • Familiar with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)  


The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 with a target compensation of $60,000 - $66,500 based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
