We're Proof, a high-growth startup in the legal tech industry, founded in 2017. We offer a best-in-class legal services platform used by thousands of law firms and property management companies. Our platform enables law firms and collections parties to access efficient, transparent, and accessible legal and document delivery services, traditionally out of reach. We are on a path to double our business this year and are building a team to help us scale rapidly.

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are eager to help build a future where legal services are readily accessible, affordable, and efficient. If you have curiosity, passion, and a collaborative spirit to drive change in an outdated industry, we want you on our team.

About the Role

We're looking for a commercially minded Customer Success Manager to own retention and growth across a portfolio of law-firm customers. You'll build executive relationships, spot expansion opportunities, and grow Proof's share of wallet, protecting and growing revenue rather than just keeping the lights on. This is a revenue-accountable role, not a support or onboarding seat, and you'll work closely with Account Executives to turn new logos into long-term, growing partnerships.

What You'll Do
  • You'll own retention and growth across your portfolio of law-firm customers, protecting revenue and growing Proof's share of wallet.
  • You'll identify whitespace across offices, attorneys, practice areas, and jurisdictions, and turn it into expansion revenue.
  • You'll build multi-threaded relationships with firm owners, managing partners, and operations leaders, and lead strategic business reviews on outcomes and growth.
  • You'll monitor volume, revenue, and sentiment to catch risk early, and partner with Account Executives to ramp new logos into sustained production.
  • You'll maintain an evidence-based expansion pipeline and portfolio forecast, coordinating escalations while keeping customers and internal teams aligned.
What You'll Bring
  • You have 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, account management, sales, or another commercial customer-facing role.
  • You have a track record of turning account insight into qualified, closed expansion revenue, not just retention.
  • You build credibility with firm owners and managing partners, not just your day-to-day contact.
  • You're comfortable traveling 20-25% of the time for onsite customer visits, events, and internal meetings.
  • You treat customer success as revenue protection and growth, and you own your commitments end to end.

Bonus points: experience with law firms, legal technology, or usage-based/consumption revenue models is a plus.

Compensation
  • Full-time, salaried position
  • Compensation: $130,000-$150,000 OTE
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, paid parental leave, and 401(k)
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Work-from-home stipend

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
