We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. The Customer Service Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional support, resolving questions and concerns, processing requests, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is patient, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple customer interactions in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain professional when dealing with challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, courteous, and timely customer service by phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, services, orders, accounts, billing, policies, and procedures.
  • Listen carefully to customers to understand their needs and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Process customer orders, returns, exchanges, payments, refunds, and service requests as applicable.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer information and transaction records in company systems.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved and expectations have been met.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or department.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions and resolutions.
  • Provide accurate information regarding company products, services, pricing, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions when applicable.
  • Meet established customer service, productivity, quality, and performance standards.
  • Handle confidential customer and company information responsibly.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, operations, billing, technical support, and other departments to resolve customer issues.
  • Stay current on company policies, procedures, products, services, and system updates.
  • Assist with administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support overall company goals.

Customer Service Duties

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Make outbound calls when follow-up or additional information is required.
  • Respond to email and online customer inquiries within established service-level expectations.
  • Verify customer information and account details.
  • Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Explain policies and procedures clearly and professionally.
  • Handle difficult or dissatisfied customers with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Ensure customers receive timely updates regarding outstanding issues or requests.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service, retail, call center, administrative, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience working with CRM, ticketing, POS, or customer-support software.
  • Experience in a call center or high-volume customer service environment.
  • Experience handling payments, orders, billing inquiries, or account management.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills, depending on business needs.
