About the role

Hex is looking for a Customer Marketer to help us bring our customers’ success stories to life. We are on a mission to make everyone a data person, and you will shape how we showcase our customers and their impact. Your work will help us build a library of compelling customer stories, develop great case studies, and collaborate with customers as they use Hex to drive data impact in their organizations. This is a hybrid role based in SF. 

What you will do? 

  • Own our customer storytelling efforts – Build and maintain a pipeline & library of compelling customer stories that showcase the value of Hex’s solutions.
  • Develop case studies – Identify customers with impactful use cases, collaborate with them to develop case studies, and work cross-functionally to promote them across marketing and sales channels.
  • Recruit and manage customer advocates – Build relationships with engaged customers who are excited to share their experiences through testimonials, references, and speaking opportunities. This includes owning and driving Hex’s CAB.
  • Drive customer participation in events – Partner with customers to feature them in webinars, conferences, and other public-facing engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams – Work with product marketing, content, and sales to ensure customer stories are effectively leveraged and customer voice is properly represented.
  • Influence/manage operations - Architect tracking and engaging main points of contact/power users within the customer base
  • Measure impact – Track and report on the success of customer marketing initiatives, refining approaches based on performance.

Who you might be?

  • You have 8-12 years of experience in customer marketing, content marketing, advocacy, or a related role.
  • You love talking to customers and uncovering the real stories behind their success.
  • You’re a natural storyteller who can turn customer insights into compelling narratives.
  • You have experience managing case study development, testimonials, or customer reference programs.
  • You’re comfortable collaborating across teams—marketing, sales, customer success, and product—to make customer advocacy a strategic asset.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving, growing company and are excited to build new programs from the ground up.
  • You have experience with community engagement, user forums, or customer reference programs.

This role will be hybrid (2-3 days per week in office) based out of our San Francisco office.

The OTE (base + variable pay) range for this role is: $150,000 - $185,000. 

The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
