The CDP Strategist develops data strategies to manage customer data, ensuring compliance, enhancing personalization, and improving campaign performance through cross-functional collaboration.
The Customer Data Platform (CDP) Strategist defines and executes the strategy for ingesting, managing, and activating unified customer data to drive personalized marketing and business growth. They bridge technical teams and marketing stakeholders to implement data pipelines, create unified customer profiles, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive a comprehensive data integration roadmap across CRM, websites, and media platforms.
- Platform Management: Oversee configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the CDP, ensuring data integrity.
- Segmentation & Activation: Create customer segments based on behaviors, demographics, and real-time data to drive personalization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, IT, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into actionable data initiatives.
- Data Governance & Quality: Establish data quality protocols, compliance, and consent management practices.
- Analysis & ROI: Analyze campaign performance, measure KPIs, and provide insights to optimize ROI.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years managing CDPs (e.g., Segment, Salesforce Data Cloud) or similar data platforms.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of data architecture, API integrations, SQL, and data privacy regulations.
- Marketing Technology (MarTech): Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Insights (required), CRM systems, digital analytics, and customer journey orchestration.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

The target range of base compensation for this role is $70-$95 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
