CTH - Lead Solutions Architect

 

We currently have a career opportunity for a hands-on Lead Solutions Architect to join our team located in Boston, MA.  This is a contract-to-hire, with our client, and is a hybrid role, with the requirement of being onsite 3 days a week.

 

Beyond traditional software architecture, you will be expected to drive AI adoption by actively integrating GenAI tools and capabilities across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from AI-assisted coding and automated test generation to AI-enhanced architecture design. You must bridge business strategy with deep technical execution, writing code, conducting reviews, and collaborating directly with product managers, business executives, software engineers, and QA.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End & Cloud Architecture: Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native architectures on AWS or GCP across mobile, front-end web, API layers, microservices, and healthcare integration systems.
• GenAI-Driven SDLC Innovation: champion and integrate Generative AI capabilities throughout the development lifecycle (e.g., AI assisted coding, automated code reviews, dynamic documentation, AI generated unit/integration tests, and synthetic healthcare data generation).
• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Maintain high daily code level involvement across front end (React Native / Angular) and back-end (Java Spring Boot) stacks.
• Stakeholder Alignment & Tailored Communication: Translate complex cloud and AI concepts into strategic value for executive business partners, while diving into low-level technical specifics with developers and QA.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management to define roadmaps, break down business requirements into technical blueprints, and align QA teams on cloud-native test architecture.
• Domain Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud and digital solutions strictly comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) and secure identity management across public and behind-login environments.
• Estimations - Experience providing T shirt estimates, low level estimates, representing the estimates and architecture in review boards, ability to justify the estimates to sponsors and executive leaders.

Qualifications

 

• Domain Experience: Proven architectural experience within the Healthcare Payer domain (claims, member management, benefits, provider networks, or digital front door).
• Cloud Architecture: Hands-on experience architecting and deploying resilient, scalable enterprise applications on AWS or GCP (cloud-native microservices, serverless, managed databases, containerization via ECS/EKS/GKE).
• GenAI & SDLC Integration: Demonstrated experience utilizing Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Claude/Gemini APIs) to optimize software development, code refactoring, testing, and developer productivity.
• Back-End Expertise: Deep, hands-on architectural and development mastery in Java and Spring Boot microservices ecosystems.
• Front-End & Mobile Mastery: Strong, hands-on experience building production apps using React Native and/or Angular for web and mobile platforms.
• Digital Ecosystem Knowledge: Proven track record of architecting public facing marketing sites, authenticated secure portals, and native/cross platform mobile apps.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.  
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.  
• A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected 
  Preferred Qualifications
   
• Experience with GenAI architectures (RAG, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering) applied to healthcare search or member self-service.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, EDI 837/834).
• Deep understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and secure session management for cloud-hosted healthcare applications.
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines integrating automated AI quality gates.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly rate for this position is $90 / hour to $110 / hour .
