Who are we looking for?

Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Global Corporate Sales Director to join our Global Sales team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for growing business with large corporate accounts.  Oversee a ~$20-30M portfolio of ~25 accounts, with a focus on driving a minimum revenue growth of 20-25% annually, primarily through increased share of wallet from current accounts, and secondarily through the acquisition of new large strategic accounts not currently in the portfolio.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strengthens relationships with key customers and uncovers additional opportunities within those accounts to increase penetration

  • Understands competitive landscape and Choice’s position within that spectrum for his/her accounts, and implements tactics to shift share

  • Develops strong relationships with Corporate Travel Managers / Procurement teams

  • Maintains depth in knowledge of end travelers at respective corporate accounts, and creates unique offers tailored to their needs

  • Is able to prevail and demonstrate mutual value in lengthy and more complex negotiations

  • Negotiates on dimensions other than in price

  • Maintains a strong grasp of customers’ purchasing processes and key success criteria and tailors the offering to meet these needs

  • Creates and delivers strong customer presentations to demonstrate the Choice value proposition and the benefits it provides to the company

  • Appropriately delegates and channels customer service issues to the relevant teams within Choice while ensuring issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner  

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Advanced business degree preferred

  • Demonstrated strong track record of successful B2B sales experience (preferably at large companies) and/or industry related experience

  • Must be able to uphold Choice’s Values of Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious and Show Integrity

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Your Work Location

As our Global Corporate Sales Manager, you will be a remote based associate, working from your home. You will be required to connect virtually with Choice team members and leadership on video via Zoom, with possible periodic travel in-person to our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide offices in North Bethesda, MD or Scottsdale, AZ. Frequent nationwide travel will be required up to 50% of the time to visit conventions, franchisees, etc.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $102,345 to $124,207.00 annually plus commission via participation in Choice’s Global Sales Incentive Plan.

The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
