Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.

Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.

The Corporate Growth Executive is a quota-carrying sales role focused on driving growth within the corporate segment through a combination of outbound prospecting, run-rate business development, and strategic account engagement. This hybrid inside/outside role is designed to expand coverage across a broad portfolio of high-potential accounts, particularly those that are currently underserved or emerging. The CGE is responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing transactional sales cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value-based solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives. This role plays a critical part in scaling sales execution and accelerating new logo acquisition across the mid-market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined set of corporate accounts and prospects, focusing on whitespace development and small run-rate growth.

  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns and follow up on marketing-generated leads to drive new logo acquisition.

  • Qualify, develop, and close opportunities independently or in partnership with the PTC Partner Network.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM tools such as Salesforce.com.

  • Collaborate with CAMs, ACAMs, and Corporate AEs to ensure account alignment and coverage continuity.

  • Participate in vertical-specific initiatives and contribute to regional sales strategies.

  • Support transactional sales motions while developing consultative selling skills for more complex opportunities.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions to technical and business audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes; Salesforce.com experience preferred.

  • Understanding digital transformation concepts and enterprise software solutions (e.g., CAD, PLM, ALM, SLM).

  • Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and evolve toward a full Corporate AE role.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a hybrid or inside sales capacity.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience working with or alongside channel partners is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and team collaboration.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
