Principal Responsibilities

  • Global Consolidation: Lead the month-end close process and consolidation for all global entities (US, UK, CH, JPN), ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Revenue Governance: Oversee complex revenue recognition for diverse divisional streams, ensuring alignment between Business Development contracts and financial reporting.

  • Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control environment appropriate for a high-growth organization.
  • Treasury & Cash Management: Oversee global cash management strategies and short/long-term cash flow forecasting to support capital allocation and venture studio initiatives.
  • System Ownership: Act as the functional owner for NetSuite, Coupa, and other financial systems to drive automation and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Controller-level seat.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in a Commercial-Stage life sciences or biotech organization with complex, multi-divisional revenue streams.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in US GAAP and international consolidation is essential.  CPA license is preferred.
  • Systems: Advanced proficiency in NetSuite required.  Coupa experience is strongly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance leaders and board members.
  • Global Mindset: Ability to manage financial operations across various US and international time zones.
