Sana’s vision is to make healthcare easy.

All of us can agree healthcare is simply too hard in the US. And our members feel that pain day in and day out. We aim to create an experience that simply feels easy when you need to access our healthcare system. If you need something, you know where to go to get it with care that is a click (or as few clicks as possible!) away.

What’s beautiful about a vision oriented toward “easy” is how it imparts a singular feeling. We instinctively know as humans when something is easy versus hard, even if we can’t explain why. We fight as a company to make an easy pathway available to all our members at every stage of their healthcare journey. If you feel passionate about delivering better healthcare to small businesses through a seamless care experience and affordable benefits, join us!

Our health system is broken, and it’s a huge problem. Costs are rising out of control while the patient experience gets worse. At Sana, we're passionate about fixing this problem by bringing accessible and affordable health plans to small and medium businesses. We've built an innovative team with top talent from across the health insurance and tech industries to create engaging, modern plans for our clients. This allows our customers to offer competitive benefits packages while paying an average of 20% less than traditional plans.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, service-minded contractor to support our Network Operations team for a 3-month engagement. You will keep our provider data accurate, act as a first point of contact for provider questions, and help with entry-level contracting work. This role is a good fit for someone who is comfortable with high-volume, process-driven work and wants hands-on exposure to how a health plan's provider network runs.

We are building a distributed team and encourage all applicants to apply, regardless of location.

What you will do:

    • Maintain provider roster and demographic data. Enter and update provider rosters, adds, terms, and demographic changes (addresses, TINs, NPIs, specialties) in our internal systems and partner databases, and QA your work for accuracy

    • Process new requests from providers who want to join the Sana Network, collect required documentation (W-9s, provider rosters, credentialing information), prepare agreements from standard contract templates, and transfer the correct information to our internal and external databases

    • Flag recurring issues and suggest ways to improve our provider contracting workflows and technology

    • Help audit and maintain provider-facing materials, internal resources, and contract templates

    • Track contract status and documentation so agreements are complete, signed, and easy to find

About you:

    • 1–2+ years of experience in an administrative, data entry, customer service, or provider relations role

    • Healthcare experience preferred (provider office, credentialing, provider enrollment, managed care, insurance, etc.)

    • Familiarity with provider data (NPI, TIN, taxonomy) and basic payer contract terms is a plus

    • Excellent communicator.

    • Values-oriented. You care deeply about making our healthcare system work better for people and business owners.

    • Expert multi-tasker. You are able to handle periods of high-volume in a fast-paced work environment

    • Flexible. You have a desire and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

    • Accurate with data. You catch errors, double-check your work, and are comfortable with repetitive, high-volume entry.

    • Fast learner. Self-directed. You can get up to speed quickly and work through a queue with minimal oversight once trained.

    • Gritty. You aren’t worried about getting your hands dirty and working hard when you need to.

    • Comfortable with change. We are a startup and need people who are ok doing things outside of their traditional job description.

    • Comfortable with modern web applications. Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel.

Additional Details:

    • Length: 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on business need

    • Schedule: [Full-time, 40 hours/week], available during normal business hours (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones all accepted)

    • Location: Fully remote (U.S.-based)

    • Engagement type: This is a contract role and is not eligible for Sana employee benefits.
