This individual will be responsible for supporting the Guns and Subs product line with the aim to: achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction; achieve cost/profitability, schedule, and technical performance objectives; and effectively manage program complexities that include production and product sustainment. The Continuous Improvement Intern will work across functional lines to meet the program objectives. Primary responsibilities are focused on supporting Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives for the assigned the Value Stream.

Full-Time Salary Range: $41818 - $56444
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.

Description:
- Applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a limited portion of technical projects.
- Sets up, organizes, and populates technical information using Microsoft Products.
- Facilitates and supports Lean initiatives onsite including: time studies, spaghetti diagrams, layout design, and standard work.
- Supports achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and business performance objectives in accordance with the Integrated Business Plan (IBP).
- Supports recurring status meetings with the program team and customer.
- Assists with efforts to maintain a safe work environment and compliance with safety policies and rules.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Currently pursuing an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, PowerBI).
- Must have basic knowledge of fundamental engineering and Lean concepts, practices, and procedures.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
