The Quality Assurance team is seeking a Technical Writer to support QMS (Quality Management System). This person plays a key role in developing and maintaining the QMS at Walmart ASR (Advanced Systems and Robotics). The QMS Technical Writer works closely with quality leaders helping them establish formal polices, SOPs, and work instructions. This role directly interfaces with Supplier Quality and Field Quality groups as a technical writer to help execute their group’s visions. This role interacts cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to build strong QMS culture under QMS manager’s vision.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

  • Work with internal quality team leads to obtain an in-depth understanding of their individual functions and roles. Generate high-quality and easy to understand QMS procedures, work instructions and templates that meet QMS standards and expectations.
  • Administer Nonconformity (NCR) and Corrective Action (CAPA) systems.
  • Work cross-functionally (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering Design, Manufacturing, Program Managers, etc.) to learn about specific products and processes, and to create, update, approve, and release QMS documents.
  • Deliver QMS documentation on time without compromising technical writing standards.
  • Generate process flows and process interaction charts to promote visual understanding of complex functions before establishing formal procedures.
  • Customize and adapt cross-functional documentation to new templates and formats.
  • Gather feedback from Engineers, managers, associates, and technical operators to improve order, clarity, consistency, and terminology.
  • Conduct and support review cycles of new and existing documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits for adherence to established procedures.
  • Manage revision controls and documentation obsolescence.
  • Understand and adhere to record retention policies.
  • Advocate and establish strong QMS documentation discipline by training and ensuring compliance to training requirements.
  • Produce QMS training material for end-user, collect and incorporate end-user’s feedback to continually improve QMS education and training.
  • Establish QMS training modules, educate, and train employees to adhere to QMS documentation norms to promote documentation consistency.
  • Work with subject matter experts in writing and revising SOPs and Training Modules.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years professional QMS writing experience delivering formal QMS documents.
  • In depth understanding of QMS (is, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS 9100, etc.).
  • Good understanding of QMS audits, documents & records management policies.
  • Internal auditor certification is a plus
  • Strong documentation skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various cross-functional documentation requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high focus on attention to details.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable through written documents and process flow charts.
  • Project management skills with effective communication at all levels of organization.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities for multi-project deliverables.
  • Self-directed, independent, and is highly motivated towards professional QMS writing.
  • Ability to function in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with software that supports a Quality Management System (QMS).
