THE ROLE: Content Curator, Media Resources (Temporary)
A+E Global Media is looking for a Content Curator to review, clip and curate A+E owned clip content using our internal media asset management tool in adherence to editorial, legal and metadata guidelines. Reporting into the Content Strategy & Curation Lead, you will provide both strategic and operational support, ensuring high-volume media is consistently reviewed with precision and efficiency for inclusion on the A+E Networks in-house clip content website. The candidate should be open to new technology and able to pivot to the changing needs of the television landscape.
MORE OF WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Review, clip and curate A+E owned clip content using our internal media asset management tool in adherence to editorial, legal and metadata guidelines.
Research content available for client requests and move content into appropriate workflows to curate for upload and distribution.
Research production information, as needed, to apply accurate and effective descriptive metadata to clips for optimal searchability, utilizing AI to maximize efforts.
Review production releases and/or legal notes, before curation, to determine if releases are suitable for clips to be included.
Potential to take on other types of curation tasks to enhance curation skills
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years of demonstrated experience in digital media curation, content evaluation, and metadata application.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to think both literally and conceptually.
Experience with content management systems and digital media platforms.
Familiarity with stock footage / archives standards and best practices.
Proficient in basic video editing, including the ability to identify and extract key moments from raw footage.
Foundational understanding of AI technology and a willingness to integrate them into curation workflows.
Basic rights and clearance experience, reviewing releases, understanding the differences between editorial and commercial requirements is a must.
Clearance experience clearing public domain footage is a bonus.
Strong adaptability in response to shifting priorities and multiple projects, within an evolving media landscape.
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Global Media on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $42.00
