We're looking for a versatile and highly capable Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team. You'll play a crucial role in shaping how our story is told, both inside and outside our organization.
If you're a naturally curious individual with a passion for marketing and storytelling, eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This role is an ideal fit for someone with a few years of experience ready to take on more responsibility and make a significant impact.
While this is a remote-first, US-based role, this team member will be required to join their team in the Boston office approximately twice per month for meaningful face-to-face interactions.
In this role you will:
Craft compelling content for a variety of internal and external communication channels, ensuring messages resonate with specific audiences and achieve desired objectives. You'll report to the Manager of Internal Communications for internal-focused content and collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing on external communications.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and our design team to bring our brand voice and visuals to life across all communication touchpoints, both internally and externally.
Support internal communications, including:
Drafting and distributing company-wide emails, Slack announcements, and content for internal platforms like company-wide meetings and our information Hub.
Organizing information, measuring results, and ensuring timely content delivery consistent with our internal voice.
Showcasing company wins and successes through engaging internal communications, collaborating cross-functionally to highlight key achievements of stakeholders and departments.
Supporting internal, employee events to support information sharing.
Support external communications, including:
Taking the lead on our social media content calendar, including crafting all content, and collaborating closely with our in-house designer to create impactful visuals, ensuring timely delivery and measuring performance.
Monitoring and maintaining all Forward digital channels, including company websites and online profiles, to confirm everything is operating as expected and updated when needed.
Supporting Forward’s award strategy by supporting award application development and execution.
Assisting with various marketing and communication projects and logistical needs as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and a hands-on, proactive approach
3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
Exceptional writing and editing skills are a must, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging copy for diverse audiences and channels. Please be prepared to share writing samples/clips.
Experience with Google Slides, Keynote, Prezi, or similar.
Proven experience in content development for platforms such as email, social media, and web.
Experience working in either an agency or in-house marketing environment is highly desirable.
Familiarity with both B2B and B2C communication strategies is a plus.
A Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
A genuine passion for marketing and storytelling, with an understanding of how to tailor messages to influence audience behavior.
A strong attention to detail, with proven ability in copyediting and proofreading to deliver error-free deliverables.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Spanish-speaking proficiency
Experience working directly with graphic designers on creative projects
