Are you passionate about communications and government affiars and making a positive impact? You will lead all corporate and government affairs activities across the Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary commercial unit. This strategic position sits on both the local management table and the corporate and government affairs lead team for Central and Eastern Europe, providing critical linkage between regional and local operations. You'll build positive relations with the media and key internal and external stakeholders as part of MDLZ Public & Government agenda.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive corporate and government affairs strategies aligned with business objectives across the three-country commercial unit as well as Mondelez Europe.

  • Serve as a key member of the CU management table, providing strategic counsel and protecting our license to operate on policy matters that impact our business.

  • Contribute to regional corporate and government affairs initiatives as part of the Central and Eastern Europe lead CGA team focused on manufacturing footprint.

  • Manage and mentor one direct report, developing their capabilities and performance.

Government Relations and Public Policy
  • Liaise and collaborate with the EU and Global PGA teams to drive local impacts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and key policy stakeholders in Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary.

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across the three markets, assessing potential business impacts.

  • Represent the company in government consultations, policy forums, and industry associations.

  • Develop advocacy positions and engagement strategies on issues affecting the business.

Corporate Affairs & Communications
  • Oversee corporate reputation management and stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Coordinate with EU and Global teams on communications initiatives.

  • Manage crisis communications and issues management when required as member of the local SSMT.

  • Develop and implement strategic Sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate goals.

  • Oversee internal communication and employee engagement, including CSR and volunteering opportunities, internal event (e.g. Town Halls, conferences, etc.) organization.

  • Support the manufacturing agenda in all three markets of the CU through communications and government affairs.

What You Will Bring
  • Master's degree and at least 8+ years of experience in similar roles.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (and Czech, Slovak or Hungarian), with the ability to inform, engage, and inspire diverse audiences.

  • Experience in internal/external communications and event organization.

  • Additional experience in public/government affairs, gained within a multinational organization, a political setting, an industry association, or a PR agency will be an asset.

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a genuine passion for communication.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.

  • A keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Slovakia:
We pride ourselves on having a high performing and collaborative culture where we support your career and development. In return for your commitment, drive and enthusiasm, we offer salary starting from 4.900 € plus annual bonus payment based on your performance. The final offer will depend on the skills and previous experience of the candidate. We also offer top attractive benefits.
