About the Role

Electro Switch is seeking an experienced Commodities Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across five business units. This corporate role will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to develop sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, reduce costs, and ensure a reliable supply of materials supporting our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead supplier sourcing activities, including RFQs, negotiations, and contract management.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.
• Identify and implement cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Monitor commodity markets and supply chain trends to proactively manage risk.
• Partner with Engineering on supplier selection and new product introductions.
• Support Manufacturing and Planning to ensure material availability and optimize inventory.
• Develop supplier performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain sourcing documentation and support supplier audits.

 QualificationsWhat We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of strategic sourcing, purchasing, or commodity management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing high-value spend.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing.
• Global sourcing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
• CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or similar purchasing/supply chain certification is a plus.
