The Commercial eProcurement Lead ensures Abcam’s customers can seamlessly order products through their procurement systems and platforms. Acting as a program manager and strategic liaison between digital (technical) teams and commercial stakeholders, this role drives smooth integration of ordering, invoicing, and servicing processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Service Operations, is part of the Commercial Operations team and will be ONSITE at the facility in Waltham, MA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage eProcurement operations by overseeing day-to-day administrative functions and ensuring continuity of service for integrated customers. Ensures that maintenance and system challenges are communicated to technical teams and addressed quickly to provide a frictionless ordering experience for Abcam’s customers.
- Lead customer onboarding for eProcurement platforms, gathering technical requirements and coordinating with internal and external teams to enable successful integrations and projects.
- Drive integration projects for electronic catalogues, e-invoicing, and purchase order (PO) automation, including planning, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and continual customer success.
- Serve as a liaison between commercial, technical, and customer teams, collaborating with and resolving technical challenges to maintain automated functionality.
- Proactively communicate with commercial teams on their customers’ project statuses, technical needs, potential obstacles, and maintenance of annual pricing and catalogue updates to ensure compliance with contracted terms.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement-related functions with an emphasis on external partnerships
- Proven advanced knowledge in eProcurement tools such as ARIBA, Jaggaer, TradeCentric (PunchOut, PO2Go), hosted catalogues, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in Project and/or Program Management
- Experience communicating and influencing internal and external teams
Travel Requirements:
- This position requires up to 10% travel, which may include overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Tableau or other BI tool
- Experience working in a lab setting/biotech will be a plus
- Experience working with Oracle and Salesforce.com will be a plus

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000.00-135,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
