Job Description SummaryAs the Commercial Data Strategy Leader for Sales & Marketing, you will lead the development of a comprehensive data strategy for the sales and marketing organization. Once established, you will work to seamlessly thread that strategy across our sales and proposal processes, ensuring clear and critical data flow across the Inquiry to Order (ITO) and Order to Remittance (OTR) value streams. Through close collaboration with functional business subject matter experts, commercial excellence, and our digital technology enablement team, you will define and implement visualization requirements to optimize data utilization across the organization. This will drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and establish a robust data ecosystem that supports problem-solving and standard work. Additionally, you will lead innovation by exploring and integrating new technology use cases, like artificial intelligence (AI), to drive continuous improvement.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that connects with the organization’s current and future state vision
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues, partnering with business counterparts as necessary to drive Master Data Management (MDM) and close data quality related process gaps
  • Define critical data elements against the ITO value stream and establish process for data capture, data governance, data quality, and downstream flow
  • Define use cases for new data analytic based technologies to further optimize business processes
  • Drive cross functional collaboration of data utilization and data visualization efforts to enable faster decision-making
  • Partner to deliver self-sustaining, automated insights through report generation
  • Translate complex data into meaningful, digestible insights with clear intent and call to action
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies for application in the organization
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on best practices in the areas of data and visualization methods

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a STEM or business related field of study
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a data, digital, or analytics-based role working with large amounts of data
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job openings 

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools (ex. Tableau, CRMA, Spotfire)
  • Experience with AI tools and prompt engineering
  • Prior experience working in or closely with commercial functions like sales, marketing, commercial proposals, and/or contracts  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com
  • Applied experience using lean, six sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiencies and transformations in transactional based environments
  • Comfortability working in a high paced, high intensity environment
  • Proven ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence to drive outcomes across a global, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate key concepts in a succinct, clear manner to a variety of audiences including but not limited to senior leaders and/or non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple large, complex projects simultaneously

*Note the preferred location for this position is Cincinnati, OH.  However, for the right candidate, the hiring team can be flexible to accommodate a remote working arrangement anywhere within the EST time zone.  In addition, candidates should expect up to 25% travel annually.

The base pay range for this position is $157,000 - $210,400. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 4/18/2025.
