About the opportunity 

This Cloud Engineer position will help design, implement and support AWS Cloud environments. This position will work closely with the development teams, DevOps Engineers and other IT Operations group. 

Experience you'll bring 

• 3-5+ years of knowledge and experience with AWS Technologies;

• Strong Networking and Security ACL experience;

• 3-5+ years of experience with Terraform for building Infrastructure as a Service

• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems;

• Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• AWS Security Group and Route Table experience;

• Production Operations Experience;

• Experience meeting PCI, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley security requirements;

• Bachelor’s degree preferred;

• Ability to document clear/precise instructions for procedures or processes.

It would be great, if you already had the opportunity to work with

• Certified AWS Solutions Architect or Certified AWS Sysops/Cloudops Engineer

How you'll make an impact

• Design and build AWS environments using automated workflows

• Help develop a library of scripts to automate the WEX AWS cloud environments

• Work with development teams translating requirements into designs and automated workflows

• Assist developers and DevOps teams with implementing automation scripts that follow the WEX standards

• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Info Security, and Operations to develop automation that meet our standards and compliance requirements.

•  Complete projects and other duties as assigned

•  Train off-hours staff for duties that can be performed during non-business hours.

•  Project lead on technology changes

•  Participate in the on-call support rotation.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
