About PointFive

PointFive is the AI Efficiency OS. From the cloud to the coding agent, we're the only platform that manages AI spend everywhere it happens.

Engineering and FinOps teams use PointFive to make their organizations more efficient and their cloud and AI more effective. We don't just show what you spend. We show what you're wasting, and we fix it autonomously. NuBank saw ROI in 10 days. Customers average 1,200%+ ROI and a 4.9 rating on G2.

Founded by the team behind IntSights (acquired by Rapid7), PointFive recently closed a $60M Series B led by Accel, with participation from Entrée Capital and Salesforce Ventures.

About the Role

As a Cloud Efficiency Architect, you'll work directly with PointFive's largest enterprise customers on strategic cost and efficiency engagements, owning the strategic relationship for a portfolio of accounts based mainly in NAM. You'll also build our professional services offering from the ground up, defining what we sell, how it's packaged, and how it's delivered. You'll run the first engagements yourself before scaling them with software, automation, and a team. Beyond the customer work, you'll help shape our product roadmap and represent PointFive as a trusted voice in the Cloud & AI Efficiency industry, including in AI and token spend management, where the playbooks are still being written.

What You'll Do
  • Advise enterprise customers as a trusted advisor on their cloud and AI efficiency journeys, helping them operationalize cost optimization best practices and defining requirements for custom applications and agentic workflows built on the PointFive platform.

  • Own a portfolio of NAM accounts end to end, working directly with customer engineering and cloud architecture teams to review infrastructure and drive optimization and remediation at scale.

  • Build our professional services offering from the ground up, shaping what we sell and how it's packaged and delivered, running the initial engagements yourself, then evolving the offering and building the software, automation, and team needed to scale it.

  • Define best practices for AI and token spend management, positioning PointFive as the leading authority in a new and fast-evolving field.

  • Accelerate enterprise deals alongside sales, partnering with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers, representing our professional services in the sales cycle, and owning the handoff into the customer relationship so deal context and expectations carry forward.

  • Drive renewals and expansion across the customer base, advocating for our expanding solution landscape beyond the FinOps space.

  • Translate the field back into product, turning customer feedback and emerging industry trends into feature requests and roadmap influence with Product and Engineering.

  • Build your profile as a thought leader in cloud and AI efficiency, writing, speaking, and attending the industry events that establish both you and PointFive as leaders, and take a leading role in building our post-sales capabilities and brand recognition in NAM.

What We're Looking For

Must-have

  • 7+ years of enterprise experience focused on cloud cost and efficiency, either in a technical FinOps role or in cloud engineering/architecture

  • Background in engineering, cloud architecture, or DevOps, with the hands-on ability to build and ship custom applications, automations, and agentic workflows, not just direct others to build them.

  • Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks cost models, billing/usage data, and architecture-driven optimization.

  • Working knowledge of AI/LLM cost management and token spend optimization, an emerging discipline with few established playbooks.

  • Experience identifying and remediating cloud inefficiencies beyond the obvious.

  • Experience delivering professional services or advisory engagements, managing several customer engagements simultaneously.

  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Engineering teams.

  • Ability to operate in a startup environment: adaptable, self-directed, and resourceful.

Nice to have

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional, and/or AWS, Azure, or GCP Certified Solutions Architect Associate.

  • Active involvement in the FinOps Foundation community and a strong network in the FinOps/cloud ecosystem.

  • Experience with public speaking at industry conferences.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 USD annually.

  • Health, dental, vision (yes, all three!), equity in something early-stage and exciting, generous PTO, 401K, meal & commuter benefits, a team that will actually challenge you and much more

Why PointFive
  • Founders with a track record. Built and sold IntSights to Rapid7. Backed by top-tier investors with deep conviction in this category.

  • Category-defining product. DeepWaste detection and agentic remediation with clear, measurable ROI for both engineering and finance teams.

  • Early-stage leverage. Your work directly shapes the product, the culture, and the go-to-market playbook.

  • A practice to call your own. You'll build PointFive's professional services offering from zero and become one of the defining voices on AI and cloud efficiency in NAM, in a field where the playbooks don't exist yet.

Equal Opportunity Statement

PointFive is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
