Job DescriptionTHE PROGRAM
We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 6-month co-op, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Co-Ops will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future!
Timeframe - Spring Co-op- Must be available July 13- December 18, 2026
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Cloud, Automation & AI Co-op. This six month co op is a hands-on role on the Cloud & Automation Engineering team. You’ll ship real automation, improve our CI/CD and observability, and build a small but meaningful capability on AWS Bedrock.
The goal is simple: reduce toil, speed delivery, and save money—while giving you genuine ownership and a great portfolio piece.
Scope of Work:
1) Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Migrate small services from Chef → Ansible (AAP) with modular roles and tests.
Build Terraform modules for common patterns (ALB+ASG, EKS node group, VPC endpoints).
Add policy‑as‑code checks (OPA/Conftest).
2) CI/CD & Platform
Reusable GitHub Actions or Jenkins pipelines (plan/apply, unit/integration, SBOM, security scans).
Pre-commit hooks and lint/test stages (ansible‑lint, tflint, tfsec).
3) Observability & Reliability
Golden dashboards and alerts (Datadog/CloudWatch) plus simple SLOs.
Health checks and runbooks; document operational readiness.
4) FinOps
Tagging compliance, orphan resource cleanup, off-hours schedules for non-prod.
A small cost dashboard and the top three savings recommendations.
5) AI on AWS Bedrock
Build a lightweight GenAI MVP (ops Q&A on runbooks, ticket summaries, or cost tips).
Guardrails: use Bedrock Guardrails, PII redaction, and prompt templates.
LOCATION
This role is hybrid, based in our Atlanta Hub office, three days in office minimum.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you should be/have:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a Computer Science, software engineering, cloud engineering, ML/AI degree
- Must have previous intern/co-op experience
- Must‑have: Git, Python or Bash, Linux, YAML.
