Role Overview

This position sits within the Client Development Organization and focuses on business development and custom solution analysis. You will support one or more key strategic accounts across Retailer Gateway Programs. You will be working with big data, particularly Point of Sale (POS), Supply Chain, Shopper and Consumer data, to evaluate research data, identify key insights, and recommend actionable steps that drive value and directly impact the Clients' profitability.


If you possess the ability to work collaboratively as a trusted advisor and thought leader with category management and field sales teams, uncover meaningful insights to impact and improve your Clients’ business, and can identify new opportunities to address key business needs, this position is an excellent fit for you.


Candidates successful in this role possess and execute five key skill sets:

  • Analytic Capability: Use a systematic approach to analysis and solving problems that involves using the various Circana data assets & solutions, tracking the implications of situations, generating multiple alternatives, and making comparisons of potential solutions before acting.

  • Planning and Organizing: Determine effort and resources required to meet objectives; able to plan, coordinate and manage resources effectively to ensure task completion.
  • Client Obsessed: Consistently act with Client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the Client are met.
  • Consultative Selling: Apply knowledge of Client’s business and the industry to identify, create, and close business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Priority Account Engagement.
  • Provide strategic, priority support for top tier Clients and account teams within Circana’s Client Development Organization (CDO).
  • Partner with Clients and CDO Account Leaders to proactively identify, structure and answer Client related business questions.
  • Inform Client’s 3 to 5-year strategic plans.
  • Address strategic retail questions.
  • Influence key Client stakeholders by providing:
    • Proactive insights
    • Addressing business questions
    • HQ/Retail support and collaboration
    • Industry thought leadership
    • Solution training/adoption
    • Trouble shooting issues and communicating to cross-functional teams to resolve
    • Custom solutions/projects to solve critical business needs
  • Collaborate with peers from internal strategy team on Client and retailer projects.
  • Drive Client satisfaction, resulting in positive net promoter scores and new business wins.
  • Create compelling Client-ready content that is easy to understand, digest and provides compelling recommendations across key data sets including point of sale, consumer and loyalty/frequent-shopper data.
  • Leverage learnings from Client interactions to modify & maintain Circana CDO selling story (Client business overview) in Unify.
  • Create content that can be shared across CDO Clients with minimal alterations.
  • Update & maintain repository of Client presentations on CDO HUB site.
  • Support RFP related projects and workflow.
  • Create/refine tools that can be used to internally evaluate CDO Client potential and assist in uncovering ad hoc or Retailer Gateway opportunities.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, or category management within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or a marketing analytics organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant insights, packaging the learnings into Client-ready presentations and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport cross-functionally and engage in a consultative manner with Clients when helping solve/manage key business needs and influence thinking.
  • Experience Circana’s consumer and shopper data assets a plus OR other syndicated data solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90k to $105k.


We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
