Opportunity Overview
The Chief of Staff will report to and work closely with the EVP, North America to drive strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, and support organizational goals for the region.  This role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, project management and analytical skills to facilitate decision-making and ensure alignment across the organization.  As a key advisor to the EVP, North America, the Chief of Staff will play an essential role in setting and delivering the overarching regional strategic plan and will be accountable to directly support defined operational and strategic projects.  This individual will also act as a valuable resource to members of the North America Leadership Team (NALT), facilitate internal communications and ensure connections are made on behalf of the EVP for both internal and external activities.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Facilitate and manage a broad range of projects to help ensure attainment of strategic priorities consistent with corporate goals.
  • Partner with NALT members individually and collectively on key business projects.
  • Collaborate with NALT to develop goals, monitor and report progress against goals, triaging and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Lead and/or facilitate key internal meetings including NALT, Quarterly business reviews, and operational meetings.
  • Design and execute upon initiatives for cohesion, ensure alignment and engagement among teams and departments, integrate information and data across the organization.
  • Support the EVP and NALT in preparing annual budget planning for the region and manage the annual operating cycle.
  • Develop and prepare executive-level presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Identify and prioritize key issues early and expedite resolution by integrating information, analysis, and evaluation to provide an informed perspective and propose solutions.
  • Organize and drive the process of decision making and outputs to feed into key meetings and initiatives.
  • Influence appropriate stakeholders and ensure appropriate prioritization and project management to support the business in meeting their objectives.
  • Develop ad hoc analyses as needed to interrogate performance, execution, and support business planning. 

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience across strategic planning, commercial, operations, project management, analytics or  related roles
  • Experience supporting rare diseases is a plus.
  • Technical excellence: able to navigate Excel, PowerPoint, Co Pilot, Smartsheet and other systems/platforms effectively.  Highly curious and able to proactively seek out and learn new tools/systems that will improve efficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take in high volume of information/data and highlight key take aways, including key challenges and opportunities.
  • Significant cross-functional leadership capabilities - ability to lead, collaborate, communicate effectively and influence.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset; able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment exhibiting a high level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to craft messages to different levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

This role is based out of our corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the Boston office in coordination with their department and business needs. This role may involve some travel.
The expected salary range for this position is $182,000 - $275,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation such as restricted stock units.
