Chief Financial Officer

Goodwill Industries of North FL. Inc. (GINFL) is searching for a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Accounting/ Finance, Information Technology (IT) and our HRIS departments.  GINFL wants a leader who will help us build on the strategic plan by leading key organizational projects.

 The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial and information technology tasks. The CFO is an executive level strategic position for a responsible finance and administrative professional; responsible for the successful, timely, and accurate operations of the accounting, finance, treasury, budget, IT and HRIS functions of the organization.

Position Summary:

Oversees the accounting/finance, IT and HRIS staff in the supporting efforts for the organization and provides direct guidance to the VP, Finance and VP, IT regarding daily management, which includes:  accounting systems and operations, Payroll and HRIS tasks, MIS system development and maintenance, and grant development to expand services to support our mission.  The CFO ensures that the financial and IT/ HRIS systems are accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices, government regulations, and national Goodwill standards.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Accounting:  Develop, implement and maintain an internal accounting system, with adequate procedures and controls.  Oversee the annual evaluation of this system through the use of an external audit.
• Payroll:  Develop, implement and maintain an internal and integrated payroll and HRIS system.
• Reporting and Communication:  Report financial information in a timely and accurate manner, assist management in fiscal controls, and develop and maintain budget systems and tools.
• Treasury:  Develop and implement internal and integrated treasury management controls and help ensure adequate availability of funds through various sources. 
• Financial Planning and Analysis:  Develop and implement budgetary procedures, processes and result analysis.
• Regulatory Compliance:  Develop, implement and maintain accurate records for external reporting requirements to all outside agencies included by not limited to the Department of Revenue, Department of Labor, financial institutions, Department of Education, HUD, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture, Social Security Administration, local municipalities, etc.
•  IT:   Oversee the development and execution of an enterprise vision aligned to achieve short and long term business requirements by leveraging information and operating systems.

• Project management: Able to develop and lead team-wide capacity to achieve goals.   Able to make effective presentations and facilitate groups.
• High Business Acumen

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration and at least ten years of work experience in accounting required,
• Master Degree in a related field preferred

Knowledge & Experience:

• Knowledge of the principles, practice and methods of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing.
• Knowledge of systems and tool
• Experience in planning and implementing systemic changes leading to greater productivity
• Knowledge of regulations and legal requirements to maintain financial and informational integrity of the organization
