Job Summary & Responsibilities

General Purpose:

The Channel Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting TPx Agents to drive new business revenue. This role includes managing the agent channel, providing sales enablement, launching new products, and ensuring a productive partnership through ongoing communication and support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Agent Enablement & Sales Support

  • Train TPx Agents on products, pricing, order process, support procedures, portals, and commission structure.
  • Own initial and ongoing sales training and strategic planning for assigned agents.
  • Assist agents with creating, presenting, and closing opportunities with potential customers.
  • Provide ongoing communication of product updates, process changes, and policy adjustments.

Channel Management

  • Recruit new agents or support sub-agent engagement under existing agreements.
  • Forecast and track agent productivity; implement program modifications as needed.
  • Manage and maintain accurate sales funnels and provide weekly/monthly forecasting to leadership.
  • Launch new products and secure participation in monthly sales promotions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets/quota.

Internal Collaboration & Escalation Management

  • Work closely with Sales Operations and internal departments to resolve customer or partner-related issues.
  • Provide competitive feedback to sales management and marketing teams.
  • Participate in internal meetings to contribute to product development and channel strategy.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Up to 50% travel required, including the use of a personal vehicle, domestic air travel, and overnight stays.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the telecommunications/MSP industry.
  • Proven ability to close deals and achieve sales goals.
  • Demonstrated success in selling a variety of telecom products including Managed Security, Managed WAN, Managed IT, and Unified Communications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to support sales and resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze order and forecast data.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable to change and committed to continuous improvement.

Other Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).

 

Other Qualifications:

  • 10 -- 15 years' experience in Channel Sales preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
  • Experience working within the Agent Channel for a carrier or telecom agency preferred.
