Our mission is to empower eCommerce retailers to create and manage the world’s best online shopping experiences. We are pioneering AI-driven post-purchase solutions, from smart shipment tracking and returns management to personalized product recommendations and AI-powered delivery estimates.
Having secured a $66 million Series B in 2021, we are accelerating our growth and continuing to shape the future of eCommerce.
At AfterShip, we are building a diverse and high-performing culture that encourages collaboration and experimentation on a global scale. Even as a company with over 10 years under our belt and 450 AfterShippers across our 8 global offices, we embrace a dynamic and agile approach to our work.
We operate with a flat team structure, where you will have opportunities to contribute your ideas and take ownership over your work to create meaningful impact for the business and the customers we serve. If you’re looking for a vehicle to achieve your professional goals and work alongside fantastic teams, we invite you to join us.
Your Mission:
I'm Teddy, CEO and Co-Founder of AfterShip. I’m hiring one exceptional person to be my Executive Operations (Exec Ops) partner — someone I will trust completely and work with directly every day.
This is not an assistant role. This is the most intense, hands-on CEO training you’ll find anywhere.
As my Exec Ops:
- You’ll have full visibility — access to my inbox, meetings, and decisions.
- You’ll shadow me from day one (first 6 months in Hong Kong / Shenzhen), learning how every part of the business works — product, marketing, GTM, ops, finance.
- You’ll take high-leverage work off my plate — not just admin, but strategic initiatives, meeting prep, and follow-ups that move the business forward.
- You’ll have authority to build your own support structure, including hiring an Executive Assistant to help you scale.
- As you grow, you may lead company-wide projects, own departments, or run exec team operations — becoming the de facto COO.
This role is not for everyone — it's intense, fast-paced, and incredibly rewarding. But if you're hungry to grow, ready to solve complex challenges, and want a front-row seat to scaling a global SaaS company, this is the opportunity of a lifetime.
Only one person will get this chance.
- Act as Teddy’s right hand — work directly with him daily to manage high-priority projects, internal communication, and strategic decisions
- Travel with Teddy or work in sync across time zones — ~1/3 of his time is spent internationally (US, Europe, JP, SG), and the rest of the time in HK/SZ.
- Prepare, join, and follow up on Teddy’s meetings — internal, external, board, investor, recruiting
- Run operations behind executive team meetings: agendas, goals, action items, and follow-through
- Help unblock cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment between teams
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in Teddy’s schedule and across the company
- Handle confidential information with absolute discretion and professionalism
- Build and manage your own support team (e.g. EA, coordinator) as needed
This role isn’t for someone who just wants a “job.” It’s for someone who wants a front-row seat — and hands-on responsibility — in building a global SaaS company alongside the CEO.
Here’s what makes someone a great fit:
- You’re fluent in both Chinese and English — speaking, reading, and writing.
You’ll work across teams in North America, APAC, and Europe. Clear communication in both languages is a must. - You want to learn by doing — fast.
You’ll be exposed to everything: product, marketing, sales, ops, hiring, finance. If you’re the type who learns best by diving in and figuring things out, you’ll thrive here. - You can handle chaos without panicking.
Things move fast. You’ll help bring order to the chaos — while also keeping up with it. - You’re organized and can think 5 steps ahead.
You’re always planning, anticipating, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks — even when Teddy’s in three countries in two weeks. - You’re deeply trustworthy.
You’ll see everything — calendars, email, sensitive documents, people challenges. You know how to handle it with care, confidentiality, and zero drama. - You’re hungry to grow into a leadership role.
Many Exec Ops go on to run teams, products, or even become COO. If you want to become a founder or executive one day, this role is an incredible training ground. - You’re comfortable with travel and time zone juggling.
Teddy’s based in APAC but travels globally about 1/3 of the time. You need to be available, flexible, and possibly on the move too. - You’re not above any task — and ready for every challenge.
One moment you may be summarizing board materials; the next, solving a problem between two teams or making sure Teddy’s flights and meetings align perfectly. You’re willing to jump in, whatever the task. - You care about people.
You’ll interact with leaders, new hires, and external partners. You bring empathy, respect, and a solutions-first mindset to every interaction.
