About Unlock

Unlock’s mission is to unleash the power of home equity to enrich people’s lives. We do this through a financial solution called a Home Equity Agreement or HEA, an entirely new way to access and utilize home equity. We’re not a lender, so there are no interest charges or monthly payments and homeowners with poor credit or high levels of debt can still qualify. We're beyond passionate about helping our customers build greater financial resiliency. We are mission driven, consumer centric and our products are designed for the way homeowners want to live their lives today - with flexibility and control.

About the role

The Capital Markets Analyst supports the execution of capital markets transactions and managing investor relationships. The role prepares and validates loan tapes and performance data, coordinates transaction due diligence, manages warehouse borrowing base and compliance reporting, and develops materials for investors and rating agencies. The analyst monitors collateral and portfolio performance, produces recurring reporting for ABS and warehouse facilities, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance capital allocation, liquidity management, and market execution strategies.

What you’ll do
  • Provide direct support to leadership in coordinating capital markets activities, including transaction timelines, meeting preparation, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist in the execution of securitizations, forward flow agreements, warehouse facilities, and asset sales through loan tape preparation, compliance checks, and due diligence coordination.
  • Manage documentation, filing systems, and data rooms to ensure organized and secure storage of capital markets and investor materials.
  • Support investor onboarding, relationship management, and the preparation of presentations, reports, and conference materials.
  • Coordinate with internal teams—including Compliance, Legal, Servicing, and Credit—on transaction requirements, performance reporting, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders such as rating agencies, trustees, underwriters, auditors, and legal counsel to facilitate deal execution and investor communications.
  • Monitor portfolio and collateral performance, leveraging dashboards and surveillance tools to provide timely insights to leadership, investors, and rating agencies.
  • Lead recurring reporting processes for asset-backed securities (ABS), warehouse facilities, and portfolio performance, ensuring accuracy, data quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Conduct market research, peer comparisons, and performance analytics to inform capital allocation, pricing strategies, and liquidity management decisions.
  • Partner with data engineering, operations, and accounting teams to enhance automation, streamline reporting processes, and maintain capital markets dashboards and metrics.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, structured finance, securitizations, or a related field.
  • Experience with residential mortgage, consumer lending, or ABS markets preferred.
  • Knowledge of securitization processes, capital markets transactions, and portfolio analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with SQL or Python preferred.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar financial data platforms.
  • Experience with DV01, Intex, or other structured finance tools a plus.
  • Understanding of credit risk metrics and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively partner with leaders across multiple functions
  • Ability to work in a high-growth, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with home equity products, non-QM lending, or alternative lending
  • Previous experience with rating agencies (Moody's, S&P, Fitch, DBRS)
  • Background in ABS, RMBS, or asset-backed securities
  • Experience with warehouse lending and credit facilities
  • Familiarity with investor reporting and compliance requirements
What we offer
  • Opportunity to work in a rapidly growing fintech
  • Dynamic and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation and growth

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
