As a CAD Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and supporting semiconductor design and EDA workflows. You will partner with design, process, and engineering teams to improve tools, automate processes, and advance AI-driven capabilities that enhance productivity and design quality. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems while influencing the future of integrated circuit development.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, evaluate, and enhance EDA tools and CAD workflows for IC design, physical layout, and verification
  • Lead complex technical projects and provide expertise within CAD and design automation disciplines
  • Drive AI/ML adoption and implementation across CAD flows and engineering processes
  • Collaborate with design and process teams to improve tool performance, efficiency, and scalability
  • Deliver user training, documentation, and technical support for new tools and methodologies

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic capture, layout, simulation, and verification
  • Strong programming fundamentals with proficiency in software development and automation
  • Knowledge of VLSI design, CMOS circuits, and design tradeoffs involving area, speed, and power

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Python, SKILL, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, Visual Basic, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with Unix environments and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with RTL-to-GDSII workflows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlass
  • Experience with AI/LLM technologies, agentic AI, analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction, or design database versioning systems
