Job Overview

Coretelligent is seeking a client-focused and technically astute Business Technology Advisor to serve as a trusted partner to our managed services clients. This strategic role is responsible for driving long-term value by aligning Coretelligent’s solutions with each client’s business goals through proactive roadmapping, budgeting, and recurring technology reviews.

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and product teams to scope standard projects, conduct license and environment reviews, and advise on IT modernization initiatives. Acting as both a strategic consultant and technical resource, the Business Technology Advisor plays a critical role in client retention, satisfaction, and growth by ensuring the right solutions are in place—at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver recurring client-facing strategy sessions that include technology roadmaps, budget planning, and strategic recommendations that align to business goals.
  • Create and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) for standard IT projects, while maintaining ownership of ongoing strategy case tracking.
  • Provide ad hoc IT consulting and guidance on environment sizing, solution design, and IT modernization to both clients and internal engineering teams.
  • Perform Managed IT solution scoping, including infrastructure reviews, license reconciliation, and cost analysis to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Educate clients on Coretelligent's service offerings, defend solution recommendations, and help align clients to our best-practice technology stack.
  • Participate in product evaluations and testing, contributing client-centric feedback to improve solution readiness and internal alignment.
  • Collaborate with sales, client success, and delivery teams to support pre-sales technical discovery and ensure smooth handoffs for implementation.
  • Help identify trends across client portfolios that can inform broader service improvements, bundling, or product positioning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in IT consulting, technical account management, or vCIO-level advisory within a managed services or IT solutions provider environment.
  • Advanced Technical Certifications (VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot key technologies, including:
    • VMware vSphere
    • Microsoft Windows Server (2019 / 2016 / 2012 R2)
    • Microsoft Active Directory (Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, NPS, etc.)
    • Exchange Server (2019, 2016, 2013, 2010)
    • VPN Clients (Cisco, Fortinet)
    • Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco)
    • Wireless Technology (Aerohive, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
    • Remote Desktop (MS RDS, Citrix)
    • Cloud Services (O365, Egnyte, Centrify/iDaptive, Box/DropBox, etc.)
    • Storage (HPE Nimble, DellEMC, Synology, etc.)
    • Backup Solutions (Veeam, Zerto, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, M365, licensing models, and service delivery frameworks in SMB and mid-market environments.
  • Proven experience building strategic roadmaps, budget plans, and SOWs in a recurring client advisory model.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus.

Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience):

$100,000 - $130,000

This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations (with the exception of MA, NY, and CA). Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training.
