The Business Systems Administrator will serve as the primary owner of Marmon Utility’s Salesforce, SQL and Power BI environments. The individual will play a critical role in enabling efficient operations across multiple functions, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.This is a remote position with occasional travel for team meetings or project coordination. The position reports to the IT Manager and works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain, enhance, and optimize key business systems.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Salesforce Administration
- Manage all aspects of Salesforce configuration, including objects, page layouts, fields, reports, dashboards, flows, and automation.
- Perform regular user administration, permission audits, and data integrity checks.
- Serve as the internal point of contact for Salesforce support requests, enhancements, and training.
- Design and implement custom workflows and process automations in Salesforce to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with departments to gather business requirements and develop scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Lead internal Salesforce development projects and integrations.
Business Systems & Reporting
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders across departments.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from SQL Server(s) for analysis and reporting.
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with data validation and dashboard updates.
- Assist with ETL processes and database maintenance.
Project & IT Support
- Assist in cross-platform integrations and IT projects as assigned.
- Provide documentation and training to business users as required.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or comparable field).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Analyst.
- Proficient with Salesforce automation (Flows), data modeling, permissions, and reporting.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Proficient with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
Preferred:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201).
- Experience with Salesforce integrations (APIs, ETL tools, middleware).
- Exposure to financial or marketing systems integration.
- Knowledge of SDLC or Agile practice
