Description

The Business Development Specialist closely supports the sales team, coordinates new business opportunities, and helps drive growth. You will play a key role in ramping up our prospecting efforts and ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads into the sales process. Prospecting & Lead Management:

  • Drive lead generation through targeted research, outreach, and networking to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Prioritize and organize leads, ensuring smooth progression from prospecting to sales team hand-off.
  • Take ownership of cold lead nurturing and facilitate strong, ongoing communication with leads until they are qualified.
  • Vet and qualify leads and facilitate scheduling meetings between these leads and the heads of business development.

Messaging & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute effective outbound messaging strategies for prospect engagement with the guidance of the Director of Business Development.
  • Align sales initiatives with OuterBox’s strategic goals to target prospects within our target ICPs and drive growth.
  • Maintain clear, strategic communication with prospects to ensure they are aligned with OuterBox’s offerings.

CRM & Reporting:

  • Maintain CRM records with accurate and up-to-date information for all prospects and clients.
  • Generate regular reports on lead generation, conversion rates, and sales activities to provide visibility into the sales pipeline.

Sales Process Coordination:

  • Manage the coordination of the sales process, ensuring efficient handoffs and communication throughout.
  • Assist in conducting discovery calls and positioning OuterBox as the ideal partner for prospects’ needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development to review leads, qualify opportunities, and support pitch preparation as needed.

Market Research & Data Aggregation:

  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Aggregate and track key marketing data to support sales goals and strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in weekly sales and marketing meetings, sharing insights and updates to drive business success.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in business development / sales (digital marketing or agency experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record in lead generation, prospecting, and sales process coordination.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing services, especially paid search and social media.
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Monday.com, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with Prospecting tools (ZoomInfo, Growbots, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales data.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce and digital health industries.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and prospects in a sales context.
