Position Overview:

The role of the Business Development Manager, Industrial at Shoes For Crews is to develop and pursue new business opportunities across a defined geographic territory in the industrial channel. As a sales leader, the BDM is responsible for driving growth through prospecting, building an extensive pipeline of large enterprise opportunities, developing relationships, negotiating and closing deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer acquisition - Leverage our comprehensive safety solutions and innovative product line to acquire new enterprise level customers. Understand the components of complex B2B sales cycles and selling profitably for sustainable growth
  • Build extensive pipeline of prospects both medium to large enterprise
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate (verbally/written) our corporate capabilities
  • Generate outbound leads and qualify inbound leads
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Develop and conduct engagement strategies that align with SFC ideal customer profiles
  • Consult prospects on managed program solutions and the right product fit for their work environments
  • Develop and organize proposals, RFP responses, business plans, capabilities overviews, testimonials, case studies and ROI analysis to generate sales
  • Develop and negotiate deals and contracts
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth plans
  • Execute sales tactics and strategies to effectively manage pipeline into winning outcomes
  • Work with C-Suite and other buying influences to multithread effectively across a diverse segment profile
  • Effectively forecast sales
  • Regularly attend and manage prospect and customer meetings, relevant industry tradeshows and association events
  • Gather and communicate information on competitor strategies

Accountabilities and Performance Measures:

  • Achieves assigned sales quotas
  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company leadership.
  • Completes strategic account plans that meet company standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within assigned time frame.

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to the Senior Director, Business Development
  • Enlists the support of cross functional stakeholders as needed to win deals and drive prospects to revenue
  • Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 5 years’ experience in selling complex B2B enterprise accounts, preferably in the Industrial segment
  • Solid analytical skills and financial acumen with the ability to balance the constraints of the business model while remaining creative and resourceful in meeting company’s needs
  • The ability to thrive in a competitive, results-driven environment is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relevant strategic plans and successfully execute related tactical objectives.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient with a leading CRM solution (preferably Salesforce.com), Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Up to 50% Travel required
