Job Description

QIMA's Consumer Products division is scaling fast in the US, and we're building a team of 10 Business Development Managers by year-end to lead that charge. This is a ground-floor opportunity: you'll shape how we grow client relationships and market presence across the region, with real visibility into a major strategic initiative from day one.

What you'll do

  • Build and grow a portfolio of clients across North America — importers, distributors, and retailers sourcing apparel, toys, electronics, and consumer goods globally.
  • Generate new business through inbound leads, digital and social channels, referrals, networking, and regional trade fairs and exhibitions.
  • Qualify and nurture prospects through the full sales cycle, tailoring QIMA's testing, inspection, and certification services to each client's supply chain.
  • Expand existing accounts by introducing clients to additional QIMA services and digital tools, including our online quality and compliance dashboard.
  • Manage your pipeline in QIMA's CRM, using data and market insight to prioritize the highest-value opportunities.
  • Represent QIMA at regional industry events and help build our profile among US brands, retailers, and trading houses.
  • Partner closely with QIMA's operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience from proposal through to service delivery.

Why this role

  • Ground-floor seat on a high-visibility growth build-out (10 hires planned by year-end).
  • Autonomy to build your own client portfolio and territory strategy.
  • Work with a global network of testing, inspection, and certification services and be the face of a fast-growing digital compliance platform.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally with exposure to quality control, testing, inspection, certification, or supply chain services.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and close deals across different cultures.
  • Comfortable owning and managing your own schedule and pipeline with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a fast learning curve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous exposure to using AI at work or a strong personal acquaintance with AI Tech.

What We Offer

  • An international working environment at the center of one of the world's fastest-growing trade hubs.
  • Uncapped sales commission based on turnover, paid every 3 months.
  • Real ownership of your client portfolio and career path within a global company.
  • Ability to shape QIMA's expansion strategy in a high-growth region
  • Direct exposure to and mentorship from senior sales leadership
