Job Overview
Secure and retain business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decisionmakers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors.

Essential Functions

  • Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying, creating, and advancing new Clinical Technology sales opportunities within assigned accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key sponsor decisionmakers and influencers, developing a deep understanding of customer organizations, business needs, study pipelines, and technology strategies.

  • Position IQVIA Clinical Technologies as a strategic partner by leading consultative discussions that align technology solutions with protocol design, endpoints, operational complexity, and sponsor objectives.

  • Sell across the full Clinical Technologies portfolio, identifying cross‑sell and expansion opportunities and leveraging knowledge of broader IQVIA capabilities as appropriate.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that define clear objectives, opportunity strategies, and actions for direct creation, cross‑sell, and account expansion.

  • Maintain awareness of competitive offerings, pricing, and positioning, using competitive insights to inform deal strategy and differentiation.

  • Lead opportunity execution in collaboration with proposals, contracts, and cross‑functional teams to develop customer‑focused, competitive responses.

  • Orchestrate internal resources—including Clinical, Operations, Medical COE, Project Management, and functional SMEs—to prepare and deliver effective customer presentations, demonstrations, and bid defenses.

  • Serve as the Clinical Technologies lead during customer meetings, bid defenses, and technology demonstrations, clearly articulating execution capabilities across platforms, devices, and global logistics.

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, including follow‑up, issue resolution, and completion of contractual documentation.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, opportunity data, and advance plans in CRM systems to support forecasting and management reporting.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and IQVIA technical and operational teams to support smooth transitions post‑award and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • 40% travel is required (based on location).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, science or related discipline Req

  • 7 years related experience Req Or

  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req

  • Solid understanding of the principles of drug discovery and development

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Outlook, and Internet)

  • Excellent understanding of business and Industry Trends and ability to interpret the trends relevant to the business

  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Excellent analytical and research skills

  • Must be self-directed and capable of prioritizing opportunities and performing multiple tasks

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $74,200.00 - $185,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
