JOB SUMMARY:          Identify and pursue opportunities for specialties growth in Brenntag’s Biopharma business segment across North America. Implement new marketing/sales strategies and establish effective internal and external networks to ensure growth and development of the Biopharma business. Execute go to market strategies and develop new customer relationships to attain volume, revenue and GP targets. Identify and develop new business opportunities with biopharma accounts, building a strong pipeline of projects. Plan and coordinate marketing policies and programs for biopharma accounts. Implement and pursue marketing activities, projects and opportunities to increase sales of specialties and gain market share in Biopharma, in accordance with company goals and objectives. Consult with product development personnel on biopharma product specifications. Develop, maintain, and review market information relative to product needs and industry trends for the Biopharma segment. Provide market support to biopharma customers including problem solving, market trend insights, regulatory insights and manufacturing problem solving by assisting with Brenntag’s Value Added Services. Use biopharma sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of Brenntag’s biopharma products, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends. Negotiate contracts with biopharma accounts, including vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks or developing distribution strategies. Act as a resource for non-dedicated Biopharma sellers through joint sales calls to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand. Assist in roll-out of new principal products and product lines by facilitating joint calls with targeted customers.

 

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS:       Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field, as well as the following experience: 5 years of experience with the pharmaceutical development cycle, including quality controlling chemical and pharmaceutical products against pharmaceutical/chemical regulatory requirements; 5 years of experience managing the sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products with global pharmaceutical companies/suppliers and independently negotiating contracts for new and existing purchasers; 5 years of experience leveraging technical chemical engineering knowledge in pharmaceutical specialty ingredients and functionality, ingredient application, cross-reference, and documentation to sell pharmaceutical products; 3 years of experience performing data analysis relying upon data derived from SAP, BUS, Salesforce, Qlik, and MS Office. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

 

Position requires national travel approximately 50% of the time.
