RH is seeking a Business Development Leader who is responsible for developing and leading strategic relationships with key brands, developers, ownership groups, and design and procurement firms in the luxury Hospitality and Residential segments. Candidates with 5+ years of experience in FF&E product sales in the Hospitality industry, with an established network of existing relationships with top industry players will be viewed most favorably.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a targeted regional sales growth plan that identifies the right customers and projects that leverage our core capabilities and helps us to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales and margin goals
- Identify new potential customers and project leads, and successfully frame up opportunities with the target strategic customers and their ecosystem of partners within the region
- Fully own the full project life-cycle for the portfolio of projects connected with the strategic customers in your region, from specification to procurement, guiding customers to solutions that we can best supply to meet their specific project needs
- Partner with Design, Sourcing, Operations and Logistics Leaders to ensure projects are properly led and executed, including product selection, creation of quotes and invoices and order fulfillment planning
- Get in front of strategic customers and attend key industry events to connect personally with customers and help them to understand our unique, integrated business model and how we can be an extraordinary partner
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and log all key communications and activities in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the broader global Sales and Operations team to help “connect the dots” and drive growth with strategic customers across their entire ecosystem of partners and projects
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience working on large FF&E projects within the B2B contract furniture space, with proven relationships with key senior level decision makers involved in the specification, approval, and purchasing process
- Expert understanding of at least two of the following product categories (outdoor, lighting, case goods, upholstery, accessories) with a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape in the FF&E space
- Highly-motivated, disciplined, self-starter with strong selling and negotiating skills, comfortable conducting both in person and virtual presentations to individuals and groups
- Intensely customer-focused, with the ability to quickly interpret and address customer needs
- Experience in providing accurate demand and shipped sales forecasts for a project based business
- Comprehensive understanding of CRM/Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel at least 60%+ to meet strategic customers when needed
