MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:

The successful candidate will be a critical regional lead in the new strategic partnership with Workday – Built on Workday. They will form an integral link between the two companies and be responsible for maximizing Kainos’ considerable investment in this sector. They will operationalize our BoW sales motion by utilizing existing and new Workday connections, set direction for the enablement of the Kainos sales teams, agree and set KPIs, lead go to market activities and remove internal frictions to ensure success. 

As a Business Development Director in Kainos, you will be accountable for defining, communicating and delivering the business development strategy by leading and generating activity in your sector/region by building an extensive network of industry contacts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Workday Strategic Partner Management:
    • Develop joint go-to-market strategies, business models, and partnership plans.
    • Own referral generation process
    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, sales, etc.) to create integrated strategies that deliver value for both parties.
    • Monitor and evaluate Built on Workday regional performance, ensuring that KPIs and business objectives are met.
    • Campaign Management: Lead joint marketing campaigns to develop channel influenced pipeline
  • Align with Kainos WDP Incubator Team to identify and validate potential BoW apps. 
  • Drive Sales Enablement Strategy: Ensure the Workday sales team are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to effectively our products
  • Drive BoW operational excellence throughout Kainos WDP North American region. 

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of Kainos products, Go-To-Market models, and the Workday ecosystem.  They will also have strong relationships within Workday's sales, marketing, and product teams in North America.   

  • 5+ years of SaaS Sales experience in the Workday ecosystem
  • Experience of developing Business Development strategies focusing on maximizing success in target markets with specific product sets / services.
  • Confident in building relationships and presenting to roles from Account Executive to C-suite.
  • Expert networking skills and the ability to build strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing successful strategic alliances or partnerships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive insights.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (CRM, marketing automation, etc.).
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of ROI and profit margins in partnership models.
