Position Overview

CADRE is seeking a Business Analyst to support cross-functional delivery teams responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into actionable requirements across federal IT modernization initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with mission objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.

· Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

· Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and backlog refinement sessions.

· Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Support prioritization of requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.

· Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.

· Collaborate with development, QA, and UX teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.

· Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate delivered solutions meet business needs.

· Maintain documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and functional specifications.

Required Qualifications

· 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.

· Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

· Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

· Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Experience working in structured or regulated environments.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

· Experience supporting federal government contracts or public-sector initiatives.

· Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.

· Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

· Knowledge of UX/UI principles or customer experience design.

· Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications.
