We are currently looking for a US-based Business Analyst who will work closely with a U.S.-based client, our internal teams and technology partners.

About the Role:

You will connect business needs with technology, translating complex insurance processes into clear requirements for development teams. This role combines business analysis, system integrations, AI and automation initiatives, and hands-on cooperation with stakeholders across different time zones.

You will also act as an important point of contact between the client, Decerto and our partners throughout implementation projects.

  • Act as a key point of contact for the U.S.-based client, coordinating communication between the client, Decerto, and our partners throughout the implementation process.
  • Support AI and automation initiatives, including defining use cases, business rules and success metrics, testing AI solutions and recommending improvements to prompts, workflows and decision logic.
  • Analyze and document APIs, endpoints, authentication methods, JSON payloads, data mappings and system integrations.
  • Cooperate with Project Managers, Developers, SMEs and stakeholders during implementation, testing, UAT, releases and production deployments.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, maintain project documentation and proactively identify solutions that respond to the client's business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, including complex technology projects, process improvements and system implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. insurance industry, including insurance products, underwriting, policy lifecycle management, submissions processing, regulatory requirements, and carrier or broker workflows.
  • Hands-on experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance is required. Experience in Specialty Insurance and/or working with MGUs (Managing General Underwriters) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience translating business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations, enterprise applications, workflow automation and software development projects.
  • Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation or digital transformation initiatives.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Skills:

  • Practical understanding of REST APIs, JSON, data structures, data mapping and data validation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman or Swagger and the ability to interpret basic code in Python, Java or JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in business-friendly language.
  • A proactive, organized and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, responsible AI, data privacy or AI governance will be an advantage.
