Business Analyst & Reltio MDM SME
Overview
Matrix is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst and Master Data Management (MDM) Subject Matter Expert with strong hands-on expertise in the Reltio platform.
This role will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex data challenges into scalable, business-aligned solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of data strategy, business analysis, and platform expertise, with strong experience operating in enterprise, client-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate MDM and data quality requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, data mappings, and process flows
- Perform gap analysis to identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain BRDs, functional documentation, and traceability matrices
- Facilitate workshops to define data governance frameworks, ownership, and master data standards
Reltio MDM Platform
- Act as SME for the Reltio Connected Data Platform
- Support design and implementation of data models (entities, attributes, relationships, match/merge logic)
- Configure and optimize survivorship rules, trust frameworks, and data quality models
- Collaborate with integration teams on data ingestion, APIs, and system connectivity
- Provide best practices on multi-domain MDM (customer, product, reference data, etc.)
- Support UAT cycles including test design, execution, and defect resolution
Data Governance & Quality
- Define and support data governance policies, stewardship models, and KPIs
- Document data lineage, dictionaries, and golden record frameworks
- Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation strategies
- Enable implementation of data stewardship workflows within Reltio
Stakeholder Management & Delivery
- Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders
- Provide status reporting, including executive-level updates
- Support Agile delivery processes (backlog grooming, sprint planning, tracking)
- Guide internal teams and clients on MDM concepts and Reltio capabilities
- Contribute to internal best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, MDM, or data management
- Proven hands-on experience with Reltio (data modeling, match/merge, survivorship rules)
- Strong understanding of MDM concepts (golden record, entity resolution, data stewardship)
- Experience translating complex business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Reltio certification or equivalent experience
- Experience in multi-domain MDM implementations
- Familiarity with integration tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks)
- Background in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
