Job Summary:
The Business Analyst IV serves as a business analysis leader responsible for shaping business strategy, guiding enterprise initiatives, and driving alignment between organizational objectives and technology-enabled solutions. This role partners with leadership to define business value, establish requirements strategies, and influence decisions that support enterprise priorities. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, the Business Analyst IV provides strategic oversight across multiple programs, drives cross-functional and cross-domain alignment, establishes business analysis standards and best practices, and leads complex transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. The role also champions innovation, advances organizational business analysis capability, and mentors analysts across all levels.
Essential Functions:
  • Establish and maintain executive-level partnerships across business and technology functions, driving strategic alignment, informed decision-making, and accountability for enterprise initiatives
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, develop business cases, define success measures, and ensure realization of intended business outcomes
  • Own business analysis strategy and execution across multiple programs, portfolios, and enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and value realization goals
  • Provide strategic oversight for Epics, Features, and related requirements artifacts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, funding commitments, delivery objectives, and measurable business outcomes
  • Lead complex requirements discovery, analysis, facilitation, and modeling efforts across multiple business domains, shaping scalable solutions for enterprise-wide challenges
  • Advise leadership on initiative prioritization, funding decisions, resource allocation, business value measurement, and portfolio tradeoffs
  • Review and provide guidance on business cases, contracts, architectural artifacts, and program deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, operational goals, and compliance requirements
  • Analyze operational, financial, and business performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations that support enterprise decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Establish strategic estimates, funding assumptions, business value metrics, and outcome measures for large-scale initiatives, change requests, and investment decisions
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage enterprise-level risks, dependencies, issues, and decision points impacting program and portfolio success
  • Provide executive-level reporting, insights, and recommendations regarding business outcomes, delivery performance, risks, dependencies, and strategic objectives
  • Guide business and technology leaders in evaluating business impacts, solution alternatives, tradeoffs, and organizational change implications
  • Lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, automation capabilities, and emerging technologies to modernize business analysis practices, improve decision-making, and accelerate business value realization
  • Establish, govern, and continuously improve business analysis methodologies, standards, tools, templates, and best practices across the organization
  • Lead and support enterprise transformation initiatives, organizational change efforts, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic modernization programs
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Business Analysts, Business Operations professionals, and project teams, fostering organizational capability, knowledge sharing, and professional growth
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations, business insights, and program outcomes to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Perform any other job related duties as requested.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
  • Seven (7) years of progressive business analysis, requirements management, or related experience required
  • Relevant payer industry experience required
  • Specific business domain knowledge and experience, to include regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, is required
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Service Now, JIRA, Modern Requirements, or equivalent suite of business requirements management tools and software development processes, including hybrid/agile required

  • Expert knowledge of business analysis methodologies, requirements management practices, SDLCs, and enterprise delivery frameworks
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, systems analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Executive-level communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams, programs, and enterprise initiatives
  • Expertise in business case development, investment analysis, ROI evaluation, and value realization
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare payer operations, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
  • Ability to establish standards, governance processes, and organizational best practices
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, and automation technologies to drive enterprise decision-making and business transformation
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex operational, financial, and performance data to support strategic planning and organizational outcomes
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, mergers and acquisitions, or organizational integration initiatives
Licensure and Certification:
  • IIBA, Six Sigma, ITIL, and/or Agile, Lean, SAFe Certifications preferred
Working Conditions:
  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Travel is not typically required

Compensation Range:

$94,100.00 - $164,800.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance. We are highly invested in every employee’s total well-being and offer a substantial and comprehensive total rewards package.
